In these lectures, a psychoanalyst or a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a specialist or an academician from another
discipline, are to discuss and exchange views about a shared subject. The lecturers are selected by the Chairperson of
the Psychoanalysis in Dialogue Committee based on their professional qualifications. Each meeting lasts two and a half
hours: The guest lecturer first lectures for a half hour, then the psychoanalyst or the psychoanalytic psychotherapist will
speak for a half hour, followed by a 15 minute break, 15 to 30 minutes for discussion and questions and answers
between the two lecturers, and lastly 15 minutes is devoted for questions and answers between the lecturers and the
attendants.
For instance, similarity between an analyst and an artist, art in psychoanalysis and art in the arts, lying from the
perspectives of psychoanalysis and sociology, or psychoanalysis and Rumi can be examples of such lectures.
