GROUP SUPERVISION CLASSES
The participants including therapists, counselors, Masters level students, and or psychiatric residents who don’t have to
be TPI’s students can register for such classes. The Candidates/Trainees can also participate. The participants are
usually treating their patients/clients in disciplines other than psychoanalysis or are those who have had a limited
exposure to psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This class meets once a week for 8 weeks (contemporaneous with the
beginning and mid-term of each semester of the Core Training Programs of the Institute), for 90 minutes each session
and is conducted by one of the Faculty Members or Instructors. Participants present their cases and receive supervision
for them. Consequently, they become informed about the analytic point of view.
